Mehdi was born on April 4th, 1953 in Teheran.

He grew up in a bohemian family. His father, who had been a successful painter, educated his son in drawing and painting.

After his schooldays he visited the school of art in Teheran. He is especially interested in impressionist like Monet, Manet, Pissaro etc.

In his pictures, Mehdi prefers romantic structures in which men and animals are integrated into nature – Scenery and landscape create a unity.

In 1987 the artist immigrated to Germany. He fulfilled his desire to deal with the European painting style through visiting a German school of art.

Furthermore, Mehdi works as a restorer for some bigger galleries.
