He learned the trade of paperhanging at his father’s business. But shortly afterwards he got an itch to artistic expression. At first, he regarded his artistic attempts as a hobby and continued to work in his original profession.
Encouraged by his first achievements he turned more and more to art. In the meantime there is a great demand for his pictures.
He is still open-minded about fair comment and suggestions and he is still willing to learn and to give his best. But, of course, he is still pleased by commendation and appreciation.
