At first Conrad Hermann learned the trade of chiselers in Berlin. Following, he absolved studies in sculpture at Verkerk in the master school of Berlin.

But over the years he became more and more attracted by figurative illustrations in painting.

His preference for the interieur awoke when he was studying ancient painters on his journeys to Holland, Austria and Italy. He visited southern countries to improve his artistic concepts. He tried especially to fathom the secrets of light and shadow.
Again and again he tries to incorporate new ideas in his paintings of cosy and warm indoor-atmospheres whereas he emphasizes strong characters.

His paintings are exposed in galleries in Europe, the USA and Canada.
